Stained Glass

Fallen leaves become autumnal lily pads on a pond that mirrors the aspen trees.

"Fall color can be overwhelming and the task we face as photographers is to distill a scene down to the minimum number of elements to fully convey that scene. To paraphrase Reverend Maclean in the film A River Runs Through It, the art of photography is in thrift. Joseph Thomas' photo, Stained Glass, is a beautiful example of an economical image of an autumn scene."
