Colorado's fourth largest wilderness area, the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness encompasses some of the state's most breathtaking mountain splendor. One of the most difficult and dangerous of Colorado's 14ers to climb, Capitol Peak is reflected in the tranquil surface of Capitol Lake in late September.
